Child Costume Safety
We advise that you follow the guidelines of each individual kids halloween costume, and pay close attention to the recommended ages that are given. It can be dangerous to outfit a child in a halloween costume that is to heavy or bulky. Infants and toddlers should not be equipped with halloween props that have small parts that can be swallowed. Children of all ages can get too hot in certain types of costumes, so keep a close eye. Kids old enough to trick or treat should be cautioned against wearing masks or other head coverings that might hinder their vision.
The other big safety concern with kids costumes is visibility by other people and cars. If your child has a costume that is very dark in color, such as a ninja costume, it may be nearly impossible to see them at night. Make sure to use some type of reflective tape or material on the costume that glows when lights are reflected on it.
Kids halloween costumes should be safe and fun, and use common sense when selecting a costume for your young ones!
